The West End Markets
Beside the Brisbane River and under Moreton Bay Figs, you’ll find over 150 stalls of farm-fresh produce, healthy fast food, boutique fashion and handcrafted gifts, arts and live music from local suppliers. It’s a great place to start your adventure exploring the West End.
When They’re On
The West End Markets are held every Saturday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, March – November and 6:00 am to 1:00 pm, December – February.
The West End Solstice Market is held on Friday, the 12th of September, between 4 pm and 10 pm.
How To Get Here
You can find them at Davies Park – Montague Road & Jane Street, West End. If you are driving, South’s Leagues Club has $5 parking available at the Jane Street entrance.
South Brisbane
Whether you have walked up from Southbank or are walking back down to it, Fish Lane will have street art and sculptures for you to explore, like Muhammad Ali and “Head in the Clouds”.
On the corner of Manning and Melbourne Streets, you will find “The Dancers”. Once upon a time, they were part of the art scene at Expo ’88, which was held where Southbank is now. To find where more art pieces are from Expo ’88, you can click here.
